The Hearthfire Clay team is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment to learn the ceramic arts.
Shawna began playing with clay when she was 11 years old and living in central Florida. She learned and then taught ceramics for students ages 5 and up at The Artistic Hand Gallery & Studio in Oviedo, Florida, where she saw firsthand the power of learning ceramics in community. Her love of clay followed her to college at the University of Georgia, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Ceramics. Now in her new home in Gilroy, California, she is excited to create a space for that same community studio spirit locally!
